This thread is for the purpose of identifying different worms and your wormy poop pictures are welcome here.
Please keep in mind that just because you are able to idenfy one kind of worm doesn't mean the bird isn't infected with other worms well.
A fecal float, preformed at a veterinarians clinic, is a test can help identify worms. Unfortunately, worms or worm eggs aren't shed in every dropping and so the process can be frustrating.

Pigeon Tapeworm - Taenia pisiformus
You can see buds (like broken chain) on the top left part of the picture. These buds are called proglottids and each can contain up to 60000 eggs.

One can compare Hairworm, Roundworm and Tapeworm appearance on this picture.
P.S. Thesa are pictures from books and worms are not so clean in reality. Roundworm is a bit more pinkish when alive this one is dead.

I only have a couple of pictures of roundworms. Here is one. And I thought this was big, at about 1 1/4 inch. Plamenhs make it look small. Can't imagine these things living inside my birds.

Thank you for this excellent pictures although it really makes me nearly puke. I hate worms and maggots so much that I can hardly look at them.
But it helps tremendously to see realistic pictures of these abominations.

This was Persephone's SECOND poop after taking oral Ivermectin (there were even more in the first).
