|  I was very saddened to hear that Keith Hall, who ran the Hallwood Sanctuary with his wife Lyz, died on Sunday. Keith never turned a pigeon away. Whenever we asked if he could take a bird, his immediate response was "of course!" There will be many, many pigeons and other animals greeting him on the other side of the bridge because he has been involved in animal rescue for over 40 years. |

| That is very sad :( He and his wife certainly did the best they could for any needy bird or animal brought to them. It seems so much more personal as a loss to wildlife because we have met them, and taken birds to them ourselves. RIP Keith

| I think someone who has dedicated his complete life to care for other creatures does not need to fear crossing the border. I only feel sad for the family. I hope someone will look after them the same way. May he rest in peace Om sai ram |

| Thank you for posting the link to the obituary, Cynthia. It was heart-warming to read about Keith's life and work. He was an extraordinary human being. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife -- I hope God gives her the strength and the help she needs to continue their work and comforts her in her grief. |

| What an amazing man.
Having read his obituary I am humbled by Keith's dedication and passion for helping wildlife.
A true inspiration in the way he carried on regardless of his own ill health to be there working right up to the end of his life.
I pray that Lyz finds the strength and help she needs to carry on his work at the sanctuary, and that by carrying on Keith's life work she finds comfort in her loss.
