Before you get a fright, my pigeons are safe, as are the feral cats and the seagulls (I think he was aiming at a seagull but missed). As for the human predator, my (usually absentee) next door neighbour, he is not getting away with it...

What a nut, indeed! I'm still furious about it. What I didn't say earlier, but perhaps you guessed, is that the photo was taken after the seagull had flown away and I had checked that none of my protegees was in his line of sight. After that I went to alert the owner of the house in front of his, and we both checked no mischief had been done there. I think he's just a rotten shot, thank goodness.

Thank goodness is right! That was certainly a close call. And could have been tragic. _________________ Cindy

I can't say what I'd really like to say, on a family orientated forum. I'd be forced to ban myself.

It is strictly forbidden in this country to fire an airgun in a residential area, even if you have a permit for the weapon. First offence for a famous doctor son of another famous doctor hardly carries more than a slap on the hand, but if he does it again he's in deep poop. Not very satisfactory from my point of view, of course. But I have the photos and enough imagination. I'll think of something.
